Kuala Lampur:Felda Jelai: An elderly motorcyclist was tragically killed when a utility pole fell on him at Felda Jelai this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim, aged 61, was riding his motorcycle when a trailer lorry, driven by a 40-year-old man, allegedly caught a utility cable as it exited a junction from Felda Jelai 4. This incident reportedly caused a pole on the opposite side of the road to fall onto the motorcyclist.

The victim was on his way from Felda Jelai 3 towards the Felda Jelai Health Clinic when the accident occurred. He suffered severe head injuries and unfortunately died while receiving medical attention at the clinic.

The driver of the trailer lorry has been detained to assist in the investigation. Authorities are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
