Kuala lumpur: The street religious outreach activities conducted by Multiracial Reverted Muslims (MRM) may proceed provided they comply with the laws and guidelines established by the authorities. Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Azman Abidin, emphasized that adherence to existing regulations is essential to ensure all parties can operate in a professional and prudent manner.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Azman expressed his appreciation for the efforts being carried out and supported their implementation within the space permitted by law. He shared these remarks in a Facebook post today, following a courtesy call he received from independent preacher Firdaus Wong Wai Hung and MRM chairman Muhammad Azim Abdullah Suhaimin.
The meeting was prompted by a recent incident involving an MRM religious outreach booth, which was subject to enforcement action by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). Azman noted that during the session, discussions were focused on clarifying and simplifying the organisational procedures for MRM's street 'Dakwah' activities, ensuring they align with the guidelines and regulations set by local authorities, specifically DBKL.
