MTD Properties Continues Community Outreach Tradition Through Q’aseh Ramadan

Ayer keroh: MTD Properties has continued its tradition of empowering community development through the organisation of the Q'aseh Ramadan programme with residents of Taman Tasik Utama, Ayer Keroh here, as part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. MTD Group chief executive officer Reime Rizal Abdul Aziz said the programme reflects the company's development philosophy, which emphasises a balance between physical progress and human values, in line with its long-term commitment to developing communities at every project location.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme is not merely about distributing bubur lambuk (a type of porridge popular during Ramadan) or seasonal contributions, but emphasises the physical presence of management and staff to foster closer ties with the local community. Reime Rizal stated that after 35 years in the industry, MTD Properties' responsibility extends beyond building houses to strengthening communities. The Q'aseh Ramadan Programme, officiated at Masjid Taman Tasik Utama, saw participation from MTD Group chief operating officer Dr Nik Fauzan Nik Faizul and Masjid Taman Tasik Utama chairman Noor Fadhil Noor Muhammad.

The programme featured activities such as a gotong-royong to prepare and distribute bubur lambuk, duit raya contributions to 84 orphans and asnaf (tithe recipients), donations to the mosque, and an iftar event with the community. Reime Rizal highlighted that the initiative was part of the company's post-CSR efforts to enhance interaction between its employees and local residents, reinforcing ties even after project completion. The Q'aseh Ramadan Programme had previously been held in Taman Sutera, Kajang, as MTD Properties continues its commitment to engage communities across its development areas.

Noor Fadhil expressed gratitude for the collaboration, noting the programme's significance in reaching out to the local community ahead of Hari Raya. He hoped that similar events would persist in the future, fostering ummah unity by connecting congregants and residents with the mosque. MTD Properties has consistently integrated social responsibility into each development, ensuring physical growth aligns with stronger community values.

The company's dedication to affordable housing was recognized nationally and regionally when it was named Best Affordable Homes Developer by the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Malaysia 2025 in Kuala Lumpur and Best Affordable Residential Developer (Asia) at the PropertyGuru Asia Awards 2025 in Bangkok last year.
