Kuala lumpur: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has called on Islamic nations, especially the Gulf nations and Muslim member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), to unite and fearlessly defend the rights of the Palestinians. Its president, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, said in a Facebook post today that Muslim nations should not let only a few countries, such as Iran and Yemen, bear the burden of fighting against the Zionists.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad Sabu expressed regret over the ongoing trade and diplomatic relationships that some Gulf states and NATO Muslim member states maintain with Israel, serving as transit routes and suppliers of essential goods. He pointed out that this indirectly strengthens the Zionists' position. He noted the irony of these nations uniting to attack Yemen but failing to unite against Israel, which is backed by major powers like the United States and Europe. Furthermore, Mohamad highlighted that Europeans and non-Muslim communities globally have been more vocal in defending Palestinian human rights compared to some Islamic countries that only condemn Israel on the international stage while keeping close ties with the Zionists.
Mohamad, who is also the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, emphasized Amanah's grave concern over the continuous atrocities committed by the Israeli Zionist regime against the Palestinians. He described the assaults on hospitals, mosques, churches, and civilians seeking food aid as barbaric acts that reveal a disregard for humanity. Amanah's stance is to continue supporting the Palestinians, aligning with voices of truth and nations opposing oppression, as this is viewed as both a religious duty and a matter of humanity.
