Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) is broadening the reach of the MySPPIM (Malaysian Islamic Marriage Management System) mobile application to facilitate the online management of marriage-related affairs for the public.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the application allows users to apply for pre-marriage courses, submit marriage applications, request advisory services, and access digital marriage certificate cards conveniently. "This application can also be used by enforcement authorities to verify marriage status," the department stated in a media kit shared during the Ijtimak Perdana Agensi Agama Seluruh Malaysia (IJPAM) 2025 held yesterday.
Additionally, MySPPIM offers functions for online registration of marriages, divorces, and referrals, as well as access to pre-marriage course certificates. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched MySPPIM 2.0 at the IJPAM 2025 event. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, was also present.
IJPAM 2025, a six-day event starting on September 8, gathered 20 religious agencies and 2,400 participants, featuring activities such as the Islamic Affairs Management Convention and the Regional Halal Seminar.
