Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Communications will mobilise teams from the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) to engage proactively with communities, aiming to help people tap into opportunities within the digital economy. Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil announced that the initiative is intended to provide communities with additional information and training through NADI's programmes.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Fahmi emphasized the importance of NADI teams reaching out to assist families by providing training, such as becoming TikTok affiliates or selling products online. He stressed that NADI should not merely wait for individuals to approach them but should actively engage with communities to achieve their goals. Fahmi shared these insights during the Ziarah Kasih MADANI Programme.
During the programme, Fahmi personally reached out to two families whose children suffer from cerebral palsy, highlighting the programme's focus on addressing welfare and development issues that require immediate attention. The MADANI Government's spokesperson also noted ongoing projects to improve Internet access, which are expected to be completed by the third quarter of this year, aligning with previous plans.
The Ziarah Kasih MADANI Programme, led by the Information Department of Malaysia (JaPen), aims to engage with those in need and identify the real issues and needs of local communities. Collaborating with the MADANI Community at the grassroots level, the programme serves as a platform to connect eligible recipients with relevant agencies, facilitating more effective assistance and interventions.
