Kuala lumpur: National bowler Natasha Mohamed Roslan is aiming to help Malaysia win the women's team gold medal at the 2026 International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup, scheduled to be held in Munich, Germany, from Oct 13 to 21. Natasha believes the national squad's strong team spirit and communication can propel Malaysia to the title after finishing runners-up following a 2-3 defeat to the United States in the final in Hong Kong last year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Natasha hopes for improvement in the upcoming competition, emphasizing that the team event is a significant target as it offers every player a chance to bring home a medal. "I hope we can improve this year. The team event is always the target because every player gets to bring home a medal," she said when met recently.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old acknowledged the challenges she faces in defending her individual World Cup title but remains determined to give her best performance. She anticipates tougher competition in the individual event from bowlers representing countries like the United States, Germany, Sweden, and Singapore, as well as from her own teammates.

Natasha made history by becoming the first Malaysian woman in 13 years to win the IBF World Cup, following her victory over Germany's Birgit Noreiks with scores of 217-166 and 226-169.
