National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 Launch Set for July 19 in Perak

Perak: The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 launch ceremony is slated to take place on July 19 at the Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Sultan Azlan Shah (ILKKM SAS) in Perak. This event will mark the commencement of this year's National Month celebrations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 am and will be broadcast live on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), BERNAMA TV, and via Facebook Live on the Merdeka360, Ministry of Communications, and Department of Information Malaysia platforms. The Merdeka360 Facebook page encourages citizens to embrace the spirit of patriotism by flying the Jalur Gemilang and participating in National Month 2026. They can visit Merdeka360.my for the official logo, patriotic songs, and promotional materials.

The theme for this year's celebrations is "Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati," reflecting the government's dedication to fostering a progressive, inclusive, and prosperous nation. The Malaysia MADANI logo will continue as the official symbol until next year. The theme emphasizes the values of justice, humanity, and public welfare, ensuring that prosperity is shared fairly among all Malaysians.

Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil has announced that the 2026 National Day celebration will be held at Dataran Putrajaya on August 31, with Malaysia Day 2026 celebrated in Sarawak on September 16. The celebrations will be modest yet vibrant, with seven supporting programmes and patriotic activities planned nationwide, including Kembara Bahasa HKHM, Quran Hour, Ambang Merdeka, Merdeka Countdown, RIUH Merdeka, and the National Statesmen Commemoration Ceremony.
