Perlis: The Ministry of National Unity will focus on digitalising museum, libraries, and archive services to attract young people to visit the places concerned. The ministry's Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad stated that the move is important to provide a more interactive experience for young individuals, thus increasing their interest in the country's history and heritage.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hasnol Zam Zam highlighted the necessity of adapting to a changing ecosystem by enhancing the experience for the community. He emphasized bringing the experience to the community by meeting the evolving expectations of younger generations. His comments were made during a meeting with staff from various agencies under the ministry in Perlis, where Perlis Unity Director Hanita Ahmad was also present.
In another development, Hasnol Zam Zam announced the implementation of the National Unity Index this year. The ministry is aiming for an increase in the unity level within the community, with hopes of achieving a score of 0.7 compared to the previous 0.629 in the studies conducted in 2018 and 2022.
During his earlier speech, Hasnol Zam Zam urged agencies under the ministry to adopt a proactive approach in disseminating the message of unity using various platforms, including social media. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stressed the significance of promoting more unity initiatives by the ministry and associated agencies.
