Chulalongkorn university: The national women's team made history by clinching Malaysia's first gold medal in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) event, triumphing over the Philippines in a thrilling final at Chulalongkorn University.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the team, comprising Qurratul Ain Nurfarisha Nizam, Afrina Balqis Ibdhi Har Ali, Hanis Wahidah Dashuki, Queenie Lim, and Sharifah Alia Husna Syed Fakrrurozi, delivered a remarkable performance to edge out the favored Philippines with a 4-3 victory.

The achievement also represents Malaysia's first e-sports gold medal since the 2019 edition, where Dr. Yew Weng Kean emerged victorious in the Hearthstone event.

In contrast, the men's MLBB team concluded their campaign with a silver medal after a 4-0 defeat to the Philippines in their final match.
