Melaka: The Pengisahan Kenegaraan @ Kelab Malaysiaku competition organised by the Information Department (JaPen) is not merely a contest, but a platform to foster patriotism and strengthen national identity among secondary school students.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Melaka Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications Committee chairman Datuk Fairul Nizam Roslan highlighted that the biennial programme also deepens students' understanding of the nation's history while nurturing unity and love for the country. This year's edition saw the participation of seven schools, with the winner set to represent the state at the national level. The competition plays a crucial role in shaping a generation that values independence and upholds patriotic values.

Fairul Nizam expressed hopes that the competition could be extended to students in higher learning institutions, with the involvement of other government departments or agencies. He made these remarks to reporters after officiating the closing ceremony of the Melaka-level Pengisahan Kenegaraan @ Kelab Malaysiaku 2025. Also present at the event was Melaka JaPen director Ab Rasil Hajatil.

Fairul Nizam further noted that the success of the programme underscores the relevance of Kelab Malaysiaku in schools as a medium for delivering nation-building messages to youth. He mentioned that 46 out of 178 secondary schools in Melaka have established the club, and emphasized the need to expand its presence with support from schools, the community, and relevant agencies.

In the competition, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Ghafar Baba emerged as champion, claiming a challenge trophy and RM1,000 cash prize. SMK Malim and SMK Durian Tunggal secured the second and third places, winning RM700 and RM500, respectively.
