Nepal: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) is working closely with Wisma Putra to locate two Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) personnel who remain uncontactable following devastating flash floods in Rasuwa, Nepal. Minister Nga Kor Ming said KPKT was making every effort to trace the two personnel, who are among more than 50 Malaysians still uncontactable.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nga urged all Malaysians to pray for the safety of the two 'red heroes' who have yet to be traced. "We really hope they are safe and will be found soon," he mentioned after officiating the Jom Makan Ipoh Expo. Nga added that the ministry, through JBPM, was keeping in close contact with the families of the two officers.

The two officers, JBPM Headquarters Planning and Research Division Deputy Director Mohd Sani Harul and JBPM Central Region Academy officer Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, were previously reported to be uncontactable following the flash floods. The officers were among 10 Malaysians who departed for Nepal last Monday night as part of a trip to Everest Base Camp.
