Kuala lumpur: NetSfere, a secure enterprise messaging and collaboration solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with KPJ Healthcare Berhad to implement an encrypted communication platform across its network of 30 hospitals nationwide. This initiative aims to safeguard sensitive information and facilitate seamless collaboration among healthcare professionals.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, NetSfere will deliver a secure, compliant, and centrally managed communication platform to KPJ Healthcare. This platform is equipped with end-to-end encryption, voice and video calling capabilities, secure file sharing, and advanced IT administration controls designed to comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and healthcare industry standards.
Anurag Lai, NetSfere's Chief Executive Officer and President, expressed the company's excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the platform's role in protecting both patients and staff. "Our platform was built to exceed international benchmarks for security, compliance, and communication excellence. In today's healthcare environment, protective IT governance is not just a technology choice; it is a clinical imperative," he stated.
Chin Keat Chyuan, KPJ Healthcare's President and Managing Director, highlighted the benefits of the partnership, noting that it strengthens internal communication and protects patient trust. The platform, hosted on Amazon Web Services in Malaysia, ensures data sovereignty and offers features like real-time crisis alerting, centralized IT governance, and full auditability, with all data securely retained within the country.
The platform also features Net-C, an artificial intelligence assistant that aids clinicians and hospital staff in securely accessing workflows and information in real time, thereby enhancing productivity and improving patient outcomes. Initially introduced at KPJ Pasir Gudang Specialist Hospital in March 2024, and subsequently at Johor Specialist Hospital and Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, the solution has shown significant improvements in secure clinical communications.
