Ng Eain Yow Sets Sights on World No. 1 and Olympic Gold

Aichi-Nagoya:National squash player Ng Eain Yow has expressed his ambition to become the world number one, world champion, and an Olympic gold medalist at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 28-year-old athlete is focused on improving his world ranking as he settles into a stable routine at his training base in Bristol, England. Eain Yow emphasized the importance of consistent training to enhance his game over the coming months and into the next year.

Recently, Eain Yow helped Malaysia secure its ninth gold medal in the men's team event at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games, where he also clinched the men's singles title. His achievements have reinforced his belief in the benefits of a structured training regimen as he aims to rise in the world rankings.

Eain Yow currently holds the 18th spot in the world rankings and has become the first Malaysian athlete to secure an automatic spot for the LA28 Olympics after winning the men's singles title. His success was followed by S. Sivasangari, who also confirmed Malaysia's automatic qualification in the women's singles event.

The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games are set to conclude this Sunday.
