NMB Paves Way for Malaysia’s New EV Conversion Guidelines

Kuala lumpur: NMB has reaffirmed its pivotal role in the development of Malaysia's EV conversion guidelines, working closely with Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) and other stakeholders. This initiative, endorsed by the National Electric Vehicle Task Force (NEVTF), has resulted in guidelines that mark a significant step towards sustainable mobility in Malaysia. NMB views this accomplishment as a vital national milestone, establishing a safe and transparent pathway for EV conversion.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, as the nation's leading agency for nanotechnology commercialisation and EV technology development under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), NMB collaborated with JPJ to create standards ensuring that converted EVs meet performance and safety criteria. The guidelines represent a milestone for NMB, which has been actively involved in setting national standards for EV conversion. By working with ministries, regulators, and industry stakeholders, NMB has contributed technical white papers, safety frameworks, and tested conversion technologies to adapt global practices to Malaysia's conditions.
