The Pahang government is taking the issues surrounding GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) seriously and will not compromise on any teachings that violate Syariah law and Islamic faith, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
He stated that the state government would leave it to the authorities to handle enforcement actions and investigations against individuals and premises linked to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) in Pahang.
‘The police are investigating (activities linked to GISB). We share the public’s concern as this issue is widely discussed, so we are closely monitoring the situation. ‘If we receive any reports, we will forward the information to the police for investigation,’ he told reporters after the FELCRA Berhad (FELCRA) Land and Skim Tanah Rakyat Title Presentation Ceremony at Dewan Dato’ Zaharuddin Abu Kassim here today.
The media had previously reported that five children, aged between four and 12, discovered during raids at two welfare homes in this district, believed to be linked to
GISB, are currently receiving treatment at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital (HOSHAS).
The initial examination conducted by personnel at HOSHAS revealed burn marks and bruises on the children’s bodies.
Commenting on today’s programme, Wan Rosdy expressed optimism that the Pahang government can achieve a land ownership target of at least one million rights within the next three years.
‘As of now, there are over 800,000 titles awarded for state land. The Pahang government has agreed to approve 337 ownership rights for applicants in FELCRA Kerdau, which includes FELCRA Kerdau 1, 2, and 3.
‘For Skim Tanah Rakyat (STR), the state government has approved 1,128 ownership rights across 14 STRs. In total, the state government has granted 1,465 ownership rights for FELCRA Kerdau 1, 2, and 3, along with 14 STRs in Temerloh,’ he said.
