NUR Power Recognised At National Energy Awards 2026 For Renewable Energy Enabler Technology

Nur power has been recognised at the national energy awards (nea) 2026:p place in the Special Submission-Renewable Energy (RE) Enabler Technology category for its pioneering Pilot Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at NUR Power's West Substation in Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The company's managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Ikwan Hafiz said the recognition reflects the company's commitment to innovation and continuous efforts to explore solutions for a more sustainable energy future.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the pilot BESS project at the West Substation represents an important step in exploring how battery energy storage technology could complement existing power infrastructure and enhance the flexibility, reliability and efficiency of electricity networks. As Malaysia's only independent power utility exclusively serving Kulim Hi-Tech Park, NUR Power plays a strategic role in powering one of the country's key industrial and technology hubs.

The company continues to invest in innovative solutions and infrastructure to meet the evolving energy needs of industries while supporting the broader energy transition.
