Kuala lumpur: The founder and chairman of OE EduGroup, Datuk Dr Calvin Khiu Fu Siang, was awarded the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, OE EduGroup announced in a statement that the entrepreneur received the degree at the 36th HELP University Convocation Ceremony, which coincided with the university's 40th anniversary celebration. In his statement, Khiu expressed gratitude to his family for their unwavering support, acknowledging that his past disinterest in studying was transformed by years of practical learning that reshaped his understanding of knowledge and personal development.

Khiu remarked on the transformative power of learning, stating, "Finally, I realised how learning has changed my life multiple times. I truly understand how important knowledge is to someone." He emphasized that entrepreneurs who fail to improve themselves risk being left behind. Over the two years of study, Khiu focused on research and learning to complete his DBA, which expanded his international perspectives and systematic management thinking.

He further noted the significance of combining academic knowledge with practical experience, aspiring to elevate OE EduGroup and make practical learning more systematic for entrepreneurs and the younger generation. Khiu also aims to assist entrepreneurs in reducing business mistakes, enhancing strategic thinking, and building long-term capabilities through a structured education system.

Khiu concluded by emphasizing that the true value of education lies not just in certificates or academic qualifications, but in how it transforms one's thinking, perspective, and life direction.
