Kuala lumpur: Complaints about online health advertisements and promotions that may violate regulations and mislead the public will be referred to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said the matter was among the issues raised during his meeting with representatives from medical associations and healthcare experts in Kuala Lumpur today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi stated that the matter will be referred to MCMC for review and further action with the relevant parties. He shared this information in a Facebook post following the meeting, which was convened to gather views, suggestions, and concerns from the representatives and medical experts.
Fahmi also expressed appreciation for the open and constructive discussions that took place during the meeting. He emphasized the importance of insights from those directly involved in the healthcare sector, as they are crucial in understanding the actual issues at hand and finding more effective solutions.
