Kuala lumpur: The One Stop Centre (OSC) Social Wellbeing Programme, which brings together various government agencies under one platform, drew an encouraging response from residents when it was held in Bandar Tun Razak here today. Bandar Tun Razak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the programme, coordinated by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM), provides the public with easier access to assistance, information, and socio-economic opportunities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme aims to deliver aid and services efficiently to those in need. Dr Wan Azizah emphasized the importance of the synergy between agencies during her speech at the event, which also coincided with the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) Hari Bersama Komuniti. The event was attended by several notable figures, including the Prime Minister's political secretary Datuk Azman Abidin, MCMC commission member Prof Dr Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod, Agriculture Department director-general Datuk Nor Sam Alwi, and ICU JPM deputy director-general Nik Shafiruddin Nik Shahar Shah.
Fifteen public and private agencies participated in the programme, such as the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council, the Social Welfare Department, the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (MITRA), Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, and Tenaga Nasional Berhad. The event also featured a Jualan Rahmah segment, offering essential goods at affordable prices to the community.
Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Prime Minister's wife, highlighted MCMC's role as a strategic partner in supporting community empowerment through initiatives like the NADI HBK programme. She noted that over 1.8 million individuals have registered as NADI members, with nearly 937,000 participations in activities and training programs nationwide, showcasing NADI's role as a hub for internet access, learning, social networking, and community development.
She further highlighted the success of NADI Pulau Banggi, Sabah, which gained international recognition by winning the World Summit on the Information Society Prizes 2025 in Geneva under the Capacity Building category. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the NADI model in empowering grassroots communities.
The programme also witnessed the presentation of Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices (MyGAP) certificates to the Seri Sabah 3A Public Housing Community Garden and the Sri Johor 4A Residents' Association Community Garden. These groups are among the first in the Federal Territories to receive MyGAP certification and are recipients of the SEJATI MADANI incentive.
