Over 100 Investors Eyeing Business Ventures at Camp John Hay

Baguio: The John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) has announced that it has received over a hundred letters of intent (LOIs) from investors eager to establish business ventures at Camp John Hay. JHMC President and Chief Operating Officer Manjit Singh Reandi revealed that these LOIs have been forwarded to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for review and input in the decision-making process.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Supreme Court granted BCDA control over several key areas within Camp John Hay on January 3, including The Manor, The Forest Lodge, Camp John Hay Golf Course, CAP Convention Center, Commander's Cottage, and other open spaces. Reandi stated that the relevant committees are diligently scrutinizing the proposals to determine the most suitable ones, while also awaiting updates to the master development plan.

The LOIs received by JHMC encompass a variety of potential investments in sectors such as restaurants, tourism sites, and hotels. Additionally, foreign health firms have shown interest in establishing a presence at Camp John Hay. Reandi emphasized that these firms are evaluating their investment options and the feasibility of their plans within the area.

Local and international investors could significantly benefit from investing in Camp John Hay. Reandi highlighted the area's unique appeal, describing it as a place where the best of both worlds meet, with an environmentally sound setting and a consistent flow of visitors. He stressed that environmental protection is a critical consideration in the decision-making process for potential investors.

"Our primary asset in John Hay is the environment," Reandi stated, noting that JHMC is committed to balancing development activities with the preservation of the natural surroundings.
