Over 20,000 Attend Sabah Govt Aidilfitri Open House

Kota Kinabalu: More than 20,000 people attended the Sabah Government's Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here today. The event was graced by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman, and his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, who arrived at 11.40 am.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, along with state ministers and deputy ministers, were also present at the event. Musa, Hajiji, and the state government leadership spent time engaging with the guests who were treated to various dishes and performances.

The culinary offerings included rendang, kolupis (rice wrapped in leaves), laksa, curry noodles, Raya biscuits, cakes, and drinks. A visitor, Lendyriani Limun, 39, expressed his commitment to attending the Sabah Government's Aidilfitri open house annually, appreciating the range of dishes and the comfortable venue despite the large crowd.

Another attendee, Alexsius Lambatus, 22, shared his experience of attending the celebration for the first time. Invited by a friend, he was impressed by the diverse dishes and entertained by performances from local Sabah artists.
