Over 6,000 Students in Tumpat Receive School Bags from Political Parties

Tumpat: Over 6,000 students in Tumpat are set to benefit from the distribution of school bags facilitated by three political parties from the MADANI Government. The initiative involves the allocation of 6,600 school bags across 66 subdistricts within the Tumpat parliamentary constituency, with a total funding of RM198,000.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tumpat Parliament MADANI Government Secretariat deputy head Mohd Khir Zahri Abdul Ghani announced that each subdistrict will receive 100 school bags, which will be distributed through the respective village heads. The effort aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents from the B40 group while providing motivation and joy to students.

Mohd Khir Zahri Abdul Ghani explained that the funding was raised collaboratively by UMNO, PKR, and Amanah, alongside the Federal Village Development and Security Committee of Tumpat Parliament. The funds were supported by contributions from individuals, non-governmental organisations, and other sources. The distribution of bags begins today and will continue until Saturday.

Currently, 2,600 new students in Tumpat who will be entering standard one have been identified to receive the bags, while the remaining bags will be distributed to other primary and secondary school students.
