Sungai buloh: More than RM500,000 has been allocated to support education in the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency, aimed at ensuring financial constraints do not deter young people from pursuing further studies. Sungai Buloh Member of Parliament Datuk Seri R. Ramanan announced this initiative, emphasizing that the funds will cover various forms of educational assistance. This support includes aid for students at both public and private higher education institutions, Back to School programmes, motivational workshops, Excellence Days, support for Parent-Teacher Associations (PIBG), and school development.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, 308 students from the constituency have already benefited from the Early Higher Education Assistance, with a total of RM113,500 distributed to ease the financial burden of university preparations. Ramanan expressed his commitment to the education of Sungai Buloh children, stating, "The education of Sungai Buloh children is always close to my heart, regardless of how big or small the assistance provided is. What matters more is that when a child gets an opportunity to study, we must ensure financial constraints do not dampen their spirit to continue the journey."
Ramanan, who also serves as the Human Resources Minister, urged the aid recipients to make full use of their opportunity to pursue higher education and develop their potential and skills. He assured that efforts to create more opportunities in education, training, and skills development would continue to be strengthened for the well-being of the local community. "Make the most of this opportunity. Going to university is not merely about pursuing a degree. This is the time to gain knowledge, develop skills, learn to be independent, and discover your potential," he advised.
During the announcement, Ramanan also visited the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) Care Carnival in Sungai Buloh. The event was organized to provide various services and community activities for local residents, featuring a PTPK information counter, Rahmah Sales, health screenings, a blood donation campaign, and community activities.
