P10.2-M shabu seized from construction worker in Cebu

CEBU CITY: Some PHP10.2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from a construction worker during a sting operation Tuesday night in Barangay Cabayan in this capital city.

Police said the suspect, Kenneth Cabajar, 26, was arrested at past 7 p.m. near his residence at Sitio Upper, Barangay Cabayan.

Cabajar was tagged as a regional high-value suspect whose task was to keep, store, and deliver illegal drugs to their intended patrons, according to the police.

His name emerged in some tactical interrogations as among the drug personalities operating in Metro Cebu who could deliver three to five kilos of drugs in a month.

Cabajar admitted to the media that someone allegedly from inside a jail would call him to pick up illegal drugs somewhere in Barangay Mambaling.

He yielded 15 medium packs of suspected shabu weighing 1.5 kilos with a standard drug price of PHP10.2 million.

The suspect is now temporarily detained at the holding cell of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-7 while drug charges are to
be filed after the holiday.
