PAAB Allocates RM50,000 To Upgrade Water-Related Facilities In MRSM Kuala Krai

Kuala krai: Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) has allocated RM50,000 to upgrade water-related facilities, including the installation of water-saving devices and the construction of the PAAB Sustainability Garden at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Kuala Krai. Its Chairman, Datuk Seri Jaseni Maidinsa, stated that this initiative is part of the company's Santuni MADANI corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at fostering a society more aware of the importance of water resource management and the sustainable use of clean water.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme is expected to benefit 590 students and 86 staff members of MRSM Kuala Krai, who rely on the water supply around the clock. Jaseni emphasized the complexity of converting raw water from natural sources into clean, consumable water, adhering to Ministry of Health standards. He highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation on water conservation, noting that nurturing water-saving habits during school years can help students become agents of change within their communities.

Jaseni further explained that PAAB's efforts extend beyond upgrading facilities, as they aim to educate students about the water supply process through the PAAB Sustainability Garden. This garden features informational elements about water sources, treatment processes, and environmental conservation, serving as an interactive learning platform. Jaseni officially opened the PAAB Sustainability Garden during the event, underscoring its role as an educational resource for the school community.

PAAB, a wholly-owned company of the Minister of Finance Incorporated, was established in 2006 under the Water Services Industry Act 2006. The company assists the Federal Government in realising the National Water Services Industry Restructuring Plan at competitive financing rates.
