Lanchang: The Pahang government is committed to expanding the people's employment opportunities by attracting more investments to the state. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail expressed a desire to encourage those born in Pahang, who are currently working elsewhere, to return to the state in light of the growing investments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy emphasized the importance of providing ample job opportunities to entice residents back to Pahang. He noted that many individuals working outside the state are willing to return if presented with suitable opportunities and competitive offers. His remarks were made during a media conference at the Pahang state-level Asyura Carnival 1447 Hijrah, held at Surau Kampung Paya Laman.

The carnival, organized by the Pahang Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JAIP) alongside other agencies, featured a bubur asyura cooking competition with 33 participating teams. The event aimed to promote community spirit and the values of giving and sharing.

In addition, during the event, 46 haj pilgrims were presented with the Makmur Pahang Initiative, receiving RM760 cash each under the Baraqah Haji Pahang Programme. This gesture is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to support the community.

Wan Rosdy also highlighted the state's commitment to boosting the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and investment value, which has reached RM4 billion as of June. He expressed optimism about an upcoming announcement from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, anticipating that it would bring favorable news for Pahang and beyond.
