Pahang: Pahang's royal court has denied the existence of any personal social media accounts belonging to the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a post on the Kesultanan Pahang's official Facebook page clarified that His Royal Highness has no social media accounts. It highlighted that numerous fake profiles have been created using the Sultan's name and image to mislead the public.
The post further revealed that fake accounts, especially on platforms like Facebook and TikTok, are also using the name and image of Tengku Ampuan Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. These accounts are in circulation, adding to the confusion among the public.
The Pahang Palace emphasized that all such accounts are fraudulent. It issued a warning against trusting any links or information disseminated from these profiles and urged people to report any suspicious content or offers to the authorities without delay.
The official announcement underscored that all legitimate activities and declarations are shared exclusively through the Pahang Sultanate's social media, which maintains only one verified Facebook account. This account has gathered approximately 772,000 followers, serving as the sole official channel for updates and announcements.
