Pahang Palace Refutes TikTok Allegations About Crown Prince’s Indonesia Visit

Kuantan:The Pahang Palace has issued a strong denial of claims made in a viral TikTok video alleging a recent visit by the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, to Indonesia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Pahang Sultanate took to Facebook to address the video, which was posted by a TikTok account under the name 2yyasan.hilmi.fir2. The video falsely asserted that the Crown Prince traveled to Indonesia to observe a religious ritual led by an individual identified as an ustaz.

The palace clarified that the video entirely misrepresents the situation, as it does not feature the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang at all. It described the video as fabricated and defamatory, suggesting it was designed to draw public attention via a social media account suspected of being operated by scammers.

Furthermore, the palace highlighted that the clarification was necessary due to messages circulating that misuse Tengku Hassanal's name to deceive the public. The palace condemned this as an irresponsible scam attempt that could damage the royal institution's reputation.

The Pahang Palace also urged the public to verify information critically and be cautious of fraudulent offers circulated on social media platforms.
