Kuala lumpur: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have acknowledged and expressed appreciation for the contributions and role of the Orang Asli community in enriching the state's cultural heritage, customs, and traditions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah also expressed hope that more opportunities would be made available to the Orang Asli community to improve their quality of life. They emphasized the importance of advancements in education, economic development, skills, and human capital development, ensuring that the community's identity, customs, and heritage remain central to their cultural identity.

In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang's Facebook page, Their Royal Highnesses conveyed best wishes to the Orang Asli community, especially those in Pahang, in conjunction with the 2026 International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. They expressed hope for the continued wellbeing, prosperity, and better quality of life for the Orang Asli community, emphasizing the preservation of its heritage and culture as a shared legacy.

The Sultan and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang also urged the people to uphold unity, respect, and cooperation to maintain harmony and prosperity across the state.
