Kuala Lumpur: Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is bringing the beloved Disney character Stitch to life this school holiday with its 'Aloha Summer' campaign, a tropical-themed experience celebrating the upcoming live-action remake of Lilo and Stitch.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the campaign, running until June 15, transforms the mall into a seaside-inspired escape, featuring installations, themed merchandise, interactive activities, and meet-and-greet sessions for visitors of all ages.
Datuk Joyce Yap, chief executive officer (Retail) of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, stated that the collaboration with Disney aims to create memorable experiences for families during the school holiday season. She mentioned, "Our 'Aloha Summer' campaign brings Stitch's playful energy to life in a way that connects both long-time fans and new audiences."
The Centre Court has been turned into an island setting inspired by Stitch's Hawaiian home, with engaging pop-up booths and brand activations. These include customisable merchandise by Parkson, a Stitch-themed vending machine by Miniso, collectible items from Metapark, and a creative LEGO Stitch display at the Spanish Steps.
At the Connection precinct, Watsons is hosting a Lilo and Stitch-themed pop-up, offering limited-edition products, tropical-inspired gifts, and exclusive shopping surprises. Maybank cardholders can benefit from special perks with exclusive redemptions, including a furry Lilo and Stitch pouch, plush keychain blind boxes, or puffy tote bags, subject to terms and conditions.
Joyce added that the event aims to go beyond the conventional retail experience by fostering meaningful connections and shared moments among families. "We believe in turning everyday outings into treasured family moments," she said.
The mall also offers a line-up of entertainment and family-friendly activities, such as ukulele performances by Ferris Music, summer K-pop shows by the Q-girls, and Latin Breeze in Hawaii dance performances. Children can participate in creative workshops by Curiouser London, combining fun with learning.
