PBB Women’s Wing Told To Strengthen Grassroots Machinery Ahead Of Sarawak Polls

Kuching: The Sarawak Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women's Wing needs to strengthen and consolidate its grassroots machinery in preparation for the 13th Sarawak State Election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sarawak PBB Women's Wing deputy chief Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali emphasized the importance of early preparations to ensure that party machinery understands their roles, election regulations, and the voter profile in their respective areas.

Sharifah Hasidah highlighted the critical role of party machinery in determining the success or failure of the party and its candidates in the upcoming elections. She urged the members to start their preparations immediately, stressing that this is the opportune time for them to engage in their responsibilities effectively.

In her speech at the closing ceremony of the Sarawak Kita Empun (SKE) 3.0 programme for the PBB Central Zone Women's Wing, she stressed the importance of each branch being aware of the number and demographics of voters. Reviewing the latest electoral roll was recommended to ensure more organized election preparations.

Sharifah Hasidah suggested conducting workshops or refresher sessions on election operations and regulations to ensure that the party machinery is well-informed about the dos and don'ts during the campaign period.

She acknowledged the significant contribution of the PBB Women's Wing in strengthening the party at the grassroots level through direct voter engagement since its establishment in 1973. Programmes like SKE are crucial for enhancing members' understanding of the party's objectives and keeping them updated on the Sarawak government's policies and initiatives under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leadership.
