Johor bahru: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have commenced initial preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the 16th Johor state election. Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized the importance of detailed arrangements, including personnel assignments, security, logistics, and inter-agency coordination to identify operational needs early on.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Saifuddin highlighted that these preparations are crucial for voters to fulfill their duties comfortably and confidently, supporting the preservation of a healthy democratic environment. He expressed confidence that with careful planning and cooperation from all parties, the Johor state election would proceed smoothly and peacefully for the residents of Johor.
The Election Commission has announced a special meeting for the Johor state election scheduled for June 12. This follows the dissolution of the Johor state assembly on June 1, after receiving consent from the Johor Regent, Tunku Mahkota Ismail.
