PDRM Urged To Expedite Probe Into Alleged Plot To Destabilise Govt – Kamil Munim

Kuala lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has been urged to immediately conduct a thorough investigation and expose the individuals involved and complicit in the alleged plot to overthrow the government and sabotage national stability. The call for action comes amid concerns over potential threats to the country's sovereignty and stability.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim emphasized the seriousness of the allegations, which if true, would represent an external threat with possible internal traitorous elements. He highlighted the potential involvement of foreign firms in exerting pressure on national institutions, which poses a risk to the country's sovereignty and dignity.

Muhammad Kamil, who also serves as the political secretary to the Minister of Finance, insisted on the necessity for immediate action by the authorities, regardless of the status of those involved. He stressed that transparency is essential, and the public deserves to know the truth behind the allegations, warning against dismissing the issue as mere political tactics.

The urgency of the matter was underscored by a report from Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, who confirmed that the police had received a report about attempts to destabilise the government. The investigation involves a prominent local figure allegedly working with an international media agency and is being managed by the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department's Prosecution and Law Division (D5), under Section 124B of the Penal Code.
