Hutan melintang: The Perak Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) detained three men and seized 43,000 litres of fishermen's diesel during a raid at a fishing jetty near Teluk Intan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak KPDN director Datuk Kamalludin Ismail stated that the raid, conducted at 5 am under Ops Tiris 4.0, also led to the seizure of a Class C fishing boat, a tanker lorry, two skid tanks, hoses and oil transfer equipment, a hydraulic electric pump, and several related documents. Kamalludin estimated the total value of the seizure at RM1,525,190, and mentioned that the case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 and the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974.

The three local men involved, aged between 33 and 42, included the tanker lorry driver, attendant, and owner of the jetty. Initial investigations revealed that the subsidised fishermen's diesel, purchased at RM1.65 per litre, was suspected to have been resold on the black market at nearly RM4 per litre. Intelligence indicated that a tanker lorry had entered the jetty to collect diesel stored in two skid tanks, believed to be siphoned and transferred without authorisation from a Class C fishing boat owned by the jetty proprietor.

Kamalludin further explained that the diesel transfer occurred without valid authorisation under the Control of Supplies Act 1961, with suspicions of subsidised diesel diversion. He warned that upon conviction, individuals could face fines up to RM1 million or imprisonment for up to three years, or both, while corporations could be fined up to RM2 million for a first offence and up to RM5 million for subsequent offences.
