Melaka:Perkeso, the Social Security Organisation, is set to offer up to an 80% discount on the Late Payment Contribution Benefit (FCLB) for employers in Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor. This initiative is part of the i-LINDUNG u-Gegar @ Melaka Programme, taking place at Dataran Keris, Alor Gajah on October 17.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiative is designed to alleviate the financial burden on employers while ensuring the ongoing protection and safety of workers. It aligns with Perkeso and the Ministry of Human Resources' commitment to fostering a sustainable and prosperous employment ecosystem.

In addition to these discounts, Perkeso is offering a matching grant with a 70% subsidy for first-time contributors in 17 non-mandatory sectors, such as agriculture and online business. Self-employed individuals renewing their contributions can benefit from a 50% subsidy. The programme also includes a special counter for contributors wishing to rejoin the LINDUNG 24 Jam scheme.

The event aims to attract up to 15,000 visitors and will be officiated by Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan. Various agencies under the Ministry of Human Resources will participate, providing advisory services and access to government resources.

Activities at the event include sponsorships by LINDUNG Kasih and LINDUNG Kendiri, food truck sales, a Malay film-themed fashion competition, traditional sports, and a search for the top 20 'asam pedas' dishes in Melaka. The programme will also feature appearances by local celebrities such as Bell Ngasri and Zaki Yamani.
