Kuala lumpur: The Perlis Road Transport Department (JPJ) reported a revenue increase to RM29.955 million in 2025, up from RM27.312 million in 2024.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perlis JPJ director Noraini Mohd Nawi attributed the revenue growth to various sources such as enforcement collections, vehicle, and driver licensing. She highlighted that one of the significant contributors to this increase was the implementation of a special flat rate compound payment offer. This offer was available from January 3 to June 30, 2025, and applied to three categories of summonses. Additionally, a 50 percent discount on all JPJ summonses was provided from November 1 to December 30, 2025.
Noraini further mentioned that the Perlis JPJ seized 106 vehicles through enforcement actions carried out in the previous year. Of these, 21 vehicles were forfeited by court order, and 31 were auctioned.
