Kangar: The Perlis state legislative assembly was informed that the Perlis Smart City Draft Plan 2030 is currently in the final review and improvement phase at the committee level, with an anticipated launch scheduled for September.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perlis Housing and Local Government, Information and Digital Committee chairman, Perlis Asrul Aimran Abd Jalil, stated that the draft plan encompasses seven key components: Smart Government, Smart Economy, Smart People, Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment, and Smart Digital Infrastructure.
The final draft of the Perlis Smart City Draft Plan 2030 was presented by the Perlis PLANMalaysia director, representing the core team, during a steering committee meeting chaired by the state secretary on May 15. This was revealed in response to a query by Megat Hashirat Hassan (PN-Pauh) during the assembly sitting at Seri Putra Complex.
Asrul Aimran elaborated that the draft plan was developed to outline the direction, strategy, and actions necessary for a smart city to address municipal challenges and issues faced by Perlis. This would be achieved through the application of the latest technology and by supporting service digitalization efforts for the public.
