Perlis: The Perlis Unity Complex, expected to be completed on Oct 19, will serve as a one-stop centre for unity services, education, and community programmes. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang stated that this development is part of the MADANI Government's efforts to enhance the unity infrastructure and ecosystem across the country, focusing on state and community levels.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the complex is the second of its kind to be developed and will accommodate various facilities including the State Unity Office, TASKA Perpaduan, TABIKA Perpaduan, Community Mediation Centre, Rukun Tetangga Centre, a multipurpose hall, and a mini library. The project, which began on Feb 20, 2024, exemplifies the government's commitment to creating spaces that unite communities, encourage interaction, and promote mutual understanding and a sense of belonging.

Aaron highlighted that the initiative aligns with the nation-building goals under the National Unity Ministry's main agenda. He further mentioned that the MADANI Government aims to bolster such efforts with the construction of a third Unity Complex planned for Bukit Besar, Kuala Terengganu, in 2027 as part of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).

These complexes are envisioned as strategic platforms to bring the unity agenda closer to the populace, contributing to a more united, harmonious, and inclusive Malaysia.
