Kangar: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has launched the Selangor Ramadan Festival 2026 (FESTIRA 2026) at Aneka Walk, Section 14 here, bringing together more than 950 local entrepreneurs across four main locations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, SA Sentral chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Najib Ibrahim announced that the 12th edition of the festival aims to attract three million visitors during its run from January 30 to March 20. The event will take place at Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam, SACC Mall, Aneka Walk, and Kompleks PKNS Bangi.
"We hope traders who begin at bazaar stalls and this Fiesta Ramadan will continue to be competitive and have the opportunity to expand into Kompleks PKNS and SACC Mall," said Mohd Najib at the festival launch. The event, themed 'Seindah Cerita Raya Kita', will offer a variety of sales categories, including Aidilfitri fashion and accessories, festive cookies and snacks, breaking-of-fast dishes, and daily necessities.
FESTIRA 2026 is supported by strategic partners such as PKNS Super App, Lembaga Zakat Selangor, the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), and Bateriku.com. The festival will also feature community activities, including religious programs, family activities, free bubur lambuk distribution, and performances by local celebrities.
Mohd Najib highlighted the introduction of FESTIRA+ at Aneka Walk, which features a Raya bazaar concept in a covered open urban space. This initiative not only expands the scale of the festival but also positions Aneka Walk as a key activation hub, integrating retail, Aidilfitri shopping experiences, and community activities on a single platform.
"This approach reflects the evolution of FESTIRA from a seasonal sales festival into a more dynamic and high-impact urban experience," he added. Aneka Walk spans 4,500 square metres over 300 metres and can accommodate up to 3,000 visitors at any one time, offering more than 140 business lots for enterprises of various scales.
Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari noted that the festival not only enhances the lifestyle value of Shah Alam, known as a mature and family-oriented township, but also has the potential to attract more youths to the area.
