Kuala lumpur: PKR's annual congress this month will serve as a platform for the party to reassess its internal strength and draw lessons from the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state election results, its Information chief Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi stated that delegates were expected to discuss a range of improvements, including strengthening the party machinery, candidate preparation, leadership responsibilities, and government policies. The congress aims to fulfill the Registrar of Societies' (ROS) requirements in accordance with the party constitution, while also addressing issues raised by delegates from Johor and Negeri Sembilan, focusing on self-assessment and insights from the recent state elections.

Fahmi, who is also the Communications Minister, noted that the congress, slated for August 16, would provide an opportunity to review the party's internal operations, including its election machinery, task distribution, candidate preparation, and government policies that may be brought up by delegates. He emphasized that the exercise was essential for PKR to strengthen the party and better prepare for future challenges.
