Kuala Lumpur: The results of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) divisional elections are anticipated to be finalised by May 5, following the completion of a thorough review of all objections, stated Party Election Committee (JPP) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Zaliha emphasised that the review process would be conducted with care, fairness, and transparency to maintain the credibility of the party's elections, which will proceed to the national level this May. The Central Leadership Council (CLC) has acknowledged the recent report from the 2025 Central Election Committee (CEC) regarding the methods of reviewing objections from the divisional election results. Dr Zaliha noted that the CLC will release the outcomes for uncontested divisions or those without significant disputes by May 1, 2025. This announcement will include the winners of divisional posts and the list of delegates to the National Congress, based on the CLC's assessment. The official list will be subm itted to the secretary-general's office to aid in coordination and preparations for the National Congress and the congresses of the party's youth and women's wings, scheduled from May 23 to 25. She further explained that for divisions with objections, the review process is ongoing, ensuring that each objection submitted through the CLC's official channels is evaluated thoroughly and fairly before reaching a final decision. The JPP urges all party members to remain calm and trust the ongoing process, aiming for the preservation of the party's harmony and unity. In addition, Dr Zaliha announced that re-elections for four divisions-Jempol, Selayang, Silam, and Semporna-will occur on May 1, with immediate notifications to be sent to the respective divisions.
