Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today congratulated Senator Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed on his reappointment as senator and Deputy Senate President for a second term. He also expressed his congratulations to Musoddak Ahmad on his reappointment as senator.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar shared his felicitations before the start of Question Time at the Dewan Negara sitting, stating, "I would like to begin by congratulating the Deputy President and the Honourable Member of the Dewan Negara for their reappointments." Earlier, both Nur Jazlan and Musoddak took their oath of office in a ceremony presided over by Senate President Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah.
In a lighter moment during the session, Anwar, an ardent football fan, revealed his support for Spain, the 2026 FIFA World Cup champions, who triumphed over the defending champions Argentina with a 1-0 victory. "I am also a devoted Spain supporter," Anwar remarked, highlighting his enthusiasm for the team's success.
