KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today congratulated Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom’s Founding Day.
“I extend my heartiest congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the auspicious occasion of the Kingdom’s Founding Day on Feb 22.
“May Allah the Almighty bless His Royal Highness with continued good health as well as bestow upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lasting peace, progress and prosperity,” said the prime minister in his tweet.
Anwar said Malaysia is committed to elevating brotherly relations with the kingdom to a higher level, especially in trade, investment, education and culture as well as exploring new potential areas of cooperation.
Saudi Arabia Founding Day is celebrated on Feb 22 to commemorate the Kingdom’s founding in 1727 by Imam Mohammed bin Saud and was declared as a public holiday last year.
