Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has shown his gratitude towards students and teachers for the creative Raya cards they sent him in celebration of Aidilfitri. He acknowledged the significance of the messages and writings in the cards, noting their contribution to the festive cheer of the occasion.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his thanks in a video clip posted on Facebook, saying, "Thank you for your notes, all you students and teachers, in conjunction with this Aidilfitri. Your thoughtful greetings in the Raya cards have brightened the Aidilfitri celebration for my family and me this year." He also conveyed his prayers for the health and well-being of everyone.
The video, which lasts two minutes, features Anwar reading some of the cards, including those from Sekolah Kebangsaan Desa Bakti (Pendidikan Khas). During the video, some students took the chance to ask the Prime Minister for his autograph as a keepsake.
Anwar also expressed his regret for not being able to respond to all the cards, stating, "To all the kind-hearted children reminding me to reply, I apologise if I can't reply to everyone."
