Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his condolences to the family of veteran broadcast journalist Datuk Karam Singh Walia, who died early this morning.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his sentiments in a Facebook post, highlighting Karam Singh as a highly respected broadcast journalist. He acknowledged the journalist's significant contributions and dedication, particularly in raising public awareness on environmental issues, stating that Karam Singh's work will continue to inspire future generations. Anwar offered his prayers for Karam Singh to rest in peace and wished for strength and fortitude for his family during this challenging time.
Karam Singh, aged 67, passed away at 3.30 am today at his residence in Klang. The news of his passing was confirmed by his younger brother, Jasbant Singh, who is the Group Managing Editor of News and Current Affairs at Media Prima Berhad.
