Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended birthday wishes to veteran film personality and cultural figure Datuk Rahim Razali in conjunction with his 87th birthday. In a Facebook post, Anwar described Rahim as a key figure in the local arts scene who has enriched the industry through timeless works that highlight human values, culture, and national identity.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed confidence that Rahim's works will continue to inspire future generations of artistes and art enthusiasts. He also prayed for the Matinya Seorang Patriot actor to be blessed with good health, a long life, and continued strength to contribute to the country's arts and culture.

Born on July 3, 1939, in Batu Gajah, Perak, Rahim Razali is a versatile figure in the creative industry, with contributions spanning acting, film directing, scriptwriting, as well as sports journalism and broadcasting. Over more than six decades in the industry, he has directed and starred in numerous iconic films, and has also received Best Director and Best Male Actor awards at the Malaysian Film Festival (FFM).
