Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to unveil several new initiatives under the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) aimed at benefiting the Indian community at the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow. This announcement was confirmed by Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R Ramanan during the conclusion of the debate on the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) at the Dewan Rakyat today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the new initiatives are expected to significantly impact the socio-economic development of the Indian community, ensuring continued support and benefiting from national development efforts. The initiatives are part of the government's strategy to strengthen the role of the Indian community as a partner in Malaysia's development through inclusive and progressive approaches, as stated by Ramanan.
Ramanan emphasized the MADANI Government's commitment to employing a new approach that is both strategic and effective in developing initiatives and programs under MITRA. This approach is designed to ensure that the Indian community is actively integrated into the country's broader development plans.
