Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended Deepavali greetings to all Hindus in Malaysia. He expressed hope that this year's festival would stand as a symbol of Malaysians coming together in the spirit of progress, enlightenment, and justice, while casting aside darkness and oppression.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar wished, "May Deepavali bring light and happiness to Malaysian families," in his video message in conjunction with Deepavali. The festival, also known as the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated tomorrow.
