Lumut: The MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 Perak, scheduled at the Lumut Waterfront from June 13 to 15, will provide a comprehensive range of services, activities, and sales tailored to all societal segments.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the PMR 2025 Main Secretariat revealed in its frequently asked questions (FAQs) that 36 booths, involving federal ministries and agencies along with the Perak government, will offer over 200 services for visitors' convenience. Echoing previous PMR events, services such as helmet exchanges by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and summons counters by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will be available.
The event will also include a Career Carnival, featuring 10 employers from various sectors with 1,000 job opportunities, alongside healthcare services. The programme aims to deliver direct touchpoint services to the public, including social, healthcare, welfare, education, career opportunities, and economic support assistance.
The FAQ highlighted that the services align with the theme of PMR 2025 Perak, 'Pendidikan Tinggi Pemacu Negara MADANI', emphasizing higher education institutions' role in driving policy and development through research, innovation, and critical thinking. Additionally, 66 local entrepreneurs will participate, offering products alongside the MADANI Sale, which provides 10 to 30 percent discounts on daily necessities and special promotions.
Government-linked companies, non-governmental organizations, and private entities will collaborate to provide necessary services. The event will operate from 9 am to 10 pm on the first two days and from 9 am to 6 pm on the final day, with ministry, agency, and state services available from 9 am to 6 pm daily.
Jointly organized by the Prime Minister's Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), and the Perak government, the event aims to attract 100,000 visitors. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to attend the closing ceremony on June 15 at 2 pm.
The FAQ noted that the first two editions of PMR 2025 in Sabah and Johor exceeded visitor targets, recording 192,250 and 152,186 visitors, respectively.
